Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you visit this website or send Lithos a quote request. It is written to describe what this site actually does, which is very little.

The short version

This website does not use cookies, does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and does not have a database. The quote form does not transmit anything to a server — it opens your own email application with the details filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send yourself.

Information you give us

When you use the quote form, it assembles the following into a draft email in your own mail app:

• Your name
• Your phone number and email address
• The countertop material and approximate square footage
• Anything you type in the notes field

Because this is an ordinary email, we receive it the same way we receive any other message, and it sits in our email account. We use it to respond to your inquiry, prepare an estimate, and schedule work. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing.

If you call or text the number listed on this site, we retain your phone number and the contents of that conversation in the ordinary course of running the business.

Information collected automatically

Our web host records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure, are used for security and troubleshooting, and are not linked to your identity by us.

Third parties

Google Fonts. This site loads its typefaces from Google's font service. When your browser fetches those fonts, Google receives your IP address and general request information. We have no control over and no access to that data. Google's handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Our web host. The company hosting this site processes the server logs described above on our behalf.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any comparable tracking tool on this site.

How long we keep things

Quote requests and customer correspondence are kept as long as needed to serve you and to maintain our business and warranty records. You may ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below, and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR; we honor those requests regardless of where you are.

Children

This site is meant for people hiring a countertop service. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
